Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
