- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
- 6 oz strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 lb strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water and let it cool to room temperature.
- In a saucepan, mix melted butter and sugar, then stir in crushed pretzels.
- Press the pretzel mixture into a 9×13-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then fold in whipped topping.
- Spread the cream mixture evenly over the cooled crust. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Stir sliced strawberries into the cooled gelatin mixture and pour over the cream layer.
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours until fully set. Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
- Ensure the crust is fully cooled before adding the cream layer to prevent melting.
- The cream layer must fully seal the crust edges to keep the gelatin from seeping through.
- Chill thoroughly for clean slices.
