- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and strawberry puree.
- In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
- Once the cakes are completely cool, spread the frosting between the layers and on top of the cake.
- Decorate with fresh strawberries if desired.
