Description

Slow Cooker Magic: Maple & Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots is a simple and delicious side dish. The carrots are tender and coated in a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds baby carrots
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the baby carrots.
  2. Place the carrots in the slow cooker.
  3. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, salt, and pepper. Heat until the butter melts.
  4. Pour the mixture over the carrots.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Stir occasionally and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
