Ingredients

  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, water, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Transfer the meat mixture to a large bowl.
  6. Add the quartered biscuits and toss until evenly coated.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  9. Bake for 28–30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
