Description
A creamy and cheesy pasta dish inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound beef steak, sliced thin
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk. Cook until thickened.
- Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the provolone and cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine the macaroni, cheese sauce, and beef mixture. Mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
Notes
- Feel free to add more vegetables.
- Use different types of cheese for variation.
- This dish can be made ahead and baked later.
