Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches and 1/2 cup of sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Top the batter with the peach mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
