- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix sliced peaches with 1/2 cup brown sugar.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining brown sugar.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Top with the peach mixture, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Can use canned peaches if fresh are not available.
- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the peaches.
