  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • Skewers (bamboo or metal)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes if using.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken and green onion pieces onto the skewers.
