- 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon sake
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Skewers (bamboo or metal)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes if using.
- Thread the marinated chicken and green onion pieces onto the skewers.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, basting with leftover marinade.
- Serve hot with additional green onions as garnish.
