Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts: 2 lbs boneless, skinless
- Broccoli Florets: 1 large head, cut into florets
- Cream of Chicken Soup: 1 (10.75 oz) can, condensed
- Milk: ½ cup
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese: 2 cups, divided
- Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Black Pepper: ½ teaspoon, freshly ground
- Salt: To taste
- Breadcrumbs (optional): ¼ cup
- Paprika (optional): ½ teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- If chicken breasts are thick, pound them to about ½ inch thickness and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place seasoned chicken in the baking dish, and spread broccoli florets evenly around the chicken.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup and milk until smooth. Stir in 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour the cheese sauce over the chicken and broccoli, ensuring it covers as much as possible.
- Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese on top. If using breadcrumbs, mix with paprika and sprinkle over the cheese.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
