  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add sugar, oil, and salt to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions.
  7. Shape each portion into a loaf and place in greased bread pans.
  8. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing.
